1st Lady $10 Gold Bullion, 1/2 ounce
Anybody gotten word on the issue of the 1st Lady $10 gold bullion being issued along with the new president $1 coins?
Here's a link to info from the mint: http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/...on=CoinAct2005 |

I just read the blurb on the Mint's web site. Not privy to any other information, but offhand, I'd think with most of the attention on the presidential dollar coins, there's potential for some low mintages on the first lady series, and they may be a fair premium in the medium and long run. I like the fact that they will be 24K.

I predict the presidential dollar coins will be a big flop unless they kill the $1 bill. |

Interesting they also mention a redesign of the penny in 2009 - Maybe that's the opportunity they will make the penny out of something less expensive.

A dollar coin with a new issue every few months just may generate enough interest to succeed.
There will be proofs issued sooner or later. It would be really nice if there were a silver proof issued with the silver state quarter set. |

As far as the 1st Lady series goes, the only upside to a Hillary presidency is possibly seeing Bill on a 1st Lady coin! :hahaha:
